My Wanderlust Wish

My dream USA trip would be to the mesmerising state of Utah. It’s a no-brainer for me – just look at it!

Utah - Zion Park

Visit Utah - Monument Valley #WanderlustWish

I’ve wanted to visit Utah for the last few years, but having two mini-explorers has put a little delay in the plans. I love natural wonders of the worlds and thanks to the wide open spaces I think it’d be a perfect family holiday. I think the delay has worked in my favour as it will be so much fun to explore Utah with Kit and Nova too.

The Utah State Parks look spectacular; truly beautiful landscapes that light up at night underneath a blanket of shining stars. During the day we’d hike to iconic rock formations and soak up the impressive views. There are loads of luxurious Utah resorts (just look at the dreamy family-friendly Montage Deer Park), so no doubt we’d retreat in the evening for an early dinner with the littles and finish with s’mores and stargazing.

There are so many spots in Utah that look phenomenal; limitless outdoors fun. I’d definitely want to visit the Mighty Five National Parks – Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion. Realistically though, with 2-3 weeks to spare and two mini-explorers in tow I think we’d home in on a few as suggested by the Visit The USA Holiday Planner tool.

Visit The USA Holiday Planner

Whether you need some inspo or you want to plan the finer details of your dream USA trip, the Visit The USA Holiday Planner tool contains SO much information.  Enter a destination, who you’ll be travelling with and a few more bits and the tool will help you create a personalised itinerary. It basically does all the hard work for you and I love it! It provides a short overview of the suggested plan – so how many nights in each place and where. You can then drill down in to particular days to see how it suggests you spend your precious time. As I have children I chose ‘slow and easy’ for the pace, so my suggested trip reflected that.

It’s basically a wonder tool that gives you everything you need to make your dream USA trip happen. It makes the trip planning so much easier because you don’t need to collect brochures or trawl the net trying to find the info. Be warned though, if you’re a fellow travel addict it’s so easy to get lost in a warren of epic adventures!

I would complete my ultimate USA national park road trip. We would take in multiple states including Las Vegas, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana to name just a few! We’d do the big name parks such as Zion and The Grand Canyon but also smaller, lesser known parks such as the Great Sand Dunes park and the Black Canyon. I’m getting excited just thinking about it!

My trip would start in New York-nothing like exploring an exciting city. I’d head down to Washington for culture. Then over to Nashville followed by Memphis for music. Then end in New Orleans for some amazing food

Wowee, what an amazing travel tool!
Myself and my family are heading out to Florida in October 2019 to over indulge in all things Disney! We’re going for our honeymoon (where else do you honeymoon when you have kids?)
We’re taking my new in laws to help babysit so we can sneak off and explore Orlando in our SUV we’ve hired for 2 weeks! The tool will help us find some hidden gems for sure! Thanks for letting us know! Fingers crossed! X

My brother lives in New Jersey but there is so much of USA I want to explore looking forward to going to Nashville for my 50th and the planner will be a great way to plan our trip and see as much as possible. If I win I will use the voucher for another exciting trip to add to my blog

That’s such a handy little tool! It’s basically your very own travel agent haha. There are SO many places I want to go to in the US still, but I planned an itinerary for 15 days in Salem (maybe it’s Halloween fever catching me?), New Orleans and Florida. That way I get a bit of history, a bit of nightlife and a bit of beach and sun! #WanderlustWish

This is such a good way to plan a trip and I must admit, it got a bit addictive! A few years ago we did a Route 66 road trip, which was amazing. Now it’s on my bucket list to do one in the south too. I’d love to check out the music scene in New Orleans (7 nights), visit Memphis (7 nights) – the homeland of one of my favourite singers Elvis, learn more about the civil rights movement in Birmingham (2 nights), before getting my fix of country music in Nashville (2 nights) and ending the trip in the oldy-worldy Charleston (3 nights). Dream trip! #WanderlustWish

I’d love to visit the west coast. My dream trip would be to start in San Francisco, travel down the coast to Santa barbara. Continue down to LA. Time my trip to be able to go to Cochella festival, as it’s one festival I’ve always dreamed of going to. Finish off in San Diego, California, this would be an awesome trip and even better in a big group.

That would be a brilliant trip! I’ve always fancied Coachella too – I always wonder if it’s as cool as the Instagram pics look. I went to San Fran a few years ago and it felt like such an iconic trip. Hope you get to make your #WanderlustWish come true :D

My trip would take in the dizzy hieghts of the gran canyon in Nevada, a brilliant helicopter ride would be great! Put a few quid into the slots of Vegas before heading to San Francisco! We would admire the views as we stroll across the gateway bridge and the even found me wine tasting tours! Fab planner #WanderlustWish

Oh wow, a helicopter ride over there would be amazing! I’ve always fancied going crazy in Vegas and winning on the machines too. I can definitely recommend San Fran and the nearby wine tasting tours. My fingers are crossed for you!

I have never had the chance to go to the USA and it is there in pole position on my holiday bucket list. I would love to do as much of route 66 as is now possible, driving through deserted areas with run down gas stations and motels just like in the films …mostly horror! :) My other must visits are New York, San Francisco, California, New Orleans, las Vegas and the Grand Canyon….as well as the amazing national parks Yosamite to see the “old faithful” that always intrigued me when it was portrayed in old cartoons and Grand Tetons just to mention a few. Another place I would love to visit is Kinzua Bridge state park where the partly destroyed bridge still stands..There is something eerily haunting about it. I think I would need a few years in the USA just to see all I want. Thanks for the chance to win this fabulous prize. Every little helps. The USA planner tool is great and I will definitely be using it when my time comes to see the USA #WanderlustWish

I haven’t seen the horror films – I’m too much of a wimp – but I totally get the appeal of route 66 – so much fun, so iconic and dreamy!

Wow, I think you might be right with how long it would take to see all of that and do it justice. That said, even just a snippet in each place would be better than none. :) Thanks so much for your entry and good luck!

I have always wanted to go to America but it’s such a big place, difficult to know where to start!! The Visit USA travel planner is awesome! What a fantastic idea, it actually let me put in a combination of places that were so spread out I initially thought it couldn’t be done….but it can! My choices were for the first time visitor to the US so cover a real variety of experiences over just 2 weeks….. so here goes….Start London – fly to New York for 4 nights …on to Miami Florida for 2 nights….New Orleans for 2 nights…San Francisco for 3 nights…ending at Los Angeles for 1 night then home. I think it’ll be tiring but so much fun! #WanderlustWish

It’s so handy isn’t it?! So nice to have all the info in one place and to be able to easily rejig it about. That sounds like such a fun 2 weeks! You can sleep when you get back home ;) I’ve been to a few of those places, but haven’t quite made it to Miami, New Orleans or LA yet. Hope you get there before me! Thanks for your entry and good luck!

That’s actually a really useful planner! My parents are planning a big trip in the USA for their 60th birthdays and they need lots of help planning, I think this would be really helpful for them to see what is possible for their 3 weeks. Because how are you supposed to know how long to stay in a place if you’ve never been there before, relative to all the other places you want to go? You’ve never been there before so you have no idea!

I chose a few random places random places towards the east that I really want to visit in 15 days – Philadelphia, New York City, Tennessee, New Orleans and ‘Heart of Appalachia’. To be honest, I don’t know where the ‘heart’ of Appalachia is but the Appalachian trail really interests me, I have Appalachian flowers tattooed on my right foot! I ended up with 2 nights in NYC, 1 night in Philadelphia, 2 nights in New Orleans, 1 night in Chattanooga, 3 nights in Gatlinburg (very interesting that it’s three nights here, maybe this is the heart of Appalachia?!), 1 night in Big Stone Gap and 2 nights in Nashville! Sounds like an AMAZING trip to me!

You’re so right – it’s so hard to know where to start and when you’re spending your precious money and valuable time you want it to be perfect. Have to agree – the planner is super, super helpful and so much fun!

That sounds like an incredible trip and I love that it seems a bit more offbeat, uncovering a different side to the states that you normally hear about. And I don’t know if you’re into signs or it’s just me, but I LOVE the fact you have that tattoo and that result came up. Feels like it’s meant to be! :D

Thanks for entering and good luck!
