Travel in 2016 is going to be same as 2015. I’m not planning to visit the same places (there are way too many on my list!), but 2016 will still be about stylish stays in classy, affordable boutiques. I’ll still be seeking out the exciting and unique. And of course, I’ll still be sharing it all here on Taylor Hearts Travel.
Travel in 2016 isn’t about staying on pause though. It’s about moving forwards. How I travel will be different. I’ll be arriving at airports earlier than I usually would and my road trips will have more pit stops. Thankfully I’m no longer restricted by annual leave allowances so I don’t need to worry about the impact of slower travel on my precious days off.
Yes, it’s fair to say that this change of pace and luxury of time is due to maternity leave and a cute little bundle, and I can’t wait. I haven’t travelled overseas since September so to say I’m excited is an understatement. The wanderer within me is desperate to escape; to feel the warm sunshine on my bare arms, to spend the day getting lost in a city and to revel in the unknown; new foods, strange languages and unfamiliar skies.
2016 Travel Plans
2016 will be a milestone one for me. I want to explore more of the UK and showcase what it has to offer. I’m hoping I’ll also be able to explore some amazing places, like Canada, Sicily and the rest (or at least some) of my top destinations for 2016.
This year will also be the first travel chapter with Nova, so I want to break some of the negative stigma around family travel – you can see what I mean in this post.
First up is our adventure to Den Bosch in the Netherlands. We’re flying to Amsterdam with KLM and then travelling to this city in the south of the country. You can follow along on Twitter, FB and Instagram via the links or with the hashtag #CharWithKLM.
We have some more travel plans that we’re just finalising, so I’ll share the exciting details as soon as possible!
In the meantime it’d be great to be hear what your travel plans are for 2016 and if you have any suggestions. With all this maternity leave I may just fill my spare dates with some of your recommendations!
