Hiya, I’m Char! It’s so lovely of you to drop by ❤ You can find out about me below, but please feel free to get in touch if you have a question or want to know more.
A Top Family Travel Blog
Taylor Hearts Travel is a family travel blog. It started as a travel blog, then I became a mama and it naturally evolved into a family travel blog.
Taylor Hearts Travel is about redefining family travel. Think stylish, exciting, affordable luxury travel with children. Yes, it does exist! You’ll find family holidays, family days out and family travel tips on here. My mini-explorers are 2 and 4, so you’ll find content tailored up to around that age range.
And parent escapes are important too because you still need to be YOU, not just mama or dada, so you’ll also see trips sans kinds on here.
One thing’s for sure, wherever the adventure and whoever the explorer, it will always be an exciting getaway.
Taylor Hearts Travel has won recognition from various outlets (Thomson Holidays, Yahoo Style, Company Magazine….) and partnered with many brands (Virgin Holidays, KLM, Visit Orlando, Cyprus Tourism Board, Nuna…). To find out more please see the Partnership Opportunities page.
Who is Taylor Hearts Travel?
I’m Char Taylor, the blogger behind Taylor Hearts Travel. I’ve always loved stylish travel; design hotels, Pinterest-style apartments and swoon-worthy resorts, so when I started my family I didn’t see any reason why that should change.
When I was pregnant, and to be honest even before then, people took great delight in telling me that that I’d never want to travel with a baby. They laughed in my face when I said that I’d still be Char, as well as being a mama, and therefore travel would still always be a big part of my life. They told me I was naive and that as soon as my baby arrived I’d realise they were right.
Well, to those lovely people – this family travel blog is proof that a life of travel doesn’t have to stop just because you have children. When I was pregnant with my first baby I travelled to America, France and Spain, and I maximised my maternity leave by travelling lots. By the time he was one he had been on countless flights, including trips to Greece, Canada, The Netherlands, Jersey and lots more. I guess it’s fair to say that you can live whatever kind of life you love, whether you have children or not. You make the path. ️
I have two mini-explorers; my son, who is four years old and my little girl, who is two. They both started travelling when they were only a few weeks old and have clocked up quite a collection of destinations, both short and long-haul. You won’t see photos of their faces on here, but you can read more about why I don’t share photos of my children in this post and why I don’t share their names online either in this post.
I’ve been blogging for just over five years, collecting quite a few achievements along the way (recommended as a top travel blog by Huff Post Lifestyle, Yahoo Style, Thomson Holidays and lots more). I’ve been travelling a lot longer though.
In 2007 I backpacked my way round the world and since then I haven’t stopped, squeezing in some amazing adventures alongside a full-time job. From Peru to Australia, Belize to Bali and all the in-between.
As well as being a family travel blogger, I have my own little shop stocking my Mini-Explorer Milestone Cards and other postcards.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I love to hear from you. Thanks for checking in and letting me share my love of travel with you. ♥
Where is Taylor Hearts Travel?
When I’m not travelling I’m based in the pretty countryside of Northamptonshire (in the UK).
Our next big family adventure is to New Zealand. I’m so excited! We’re off to Northumberland in May. More trips are currently being planned – get in touch if you want to feature in them.
