I’ve created a set of stylish baby travel milestone cards to celebrate mini-explorers. I’m so excited to *finally* reveal my family travel product to you!
What are Mini-Explorer Milestone Cards?
The set of ten milestone cards are basically photo props that you can use to remember their first long-haul flight or dip in the sea. More than that though, they’re also postcards. Whilst one side acts as a photo prop, the other side can be used to write down the exciting details about the trip. You might choose to simply pop the card in an album or memory box, or you can then either post the card back to yourself so that it gets marked with the postage stamp of the destination or you can post it to a loved one.
I think it’s such a lovely way to treasure those first family travel moments and I really, really hope you agree. I would have loved something like this for Nova’s first jaunts around the world.
I’ve designed and created them all by myself here in the UK – the late nights have been worth it! They’re super lightweight and small enough to easily pack in your bags, and I’ve purposely kept them simple and stylish. I can’t wait to see what destinations they end up in. Oh the adventures!
I think family travel deserves to be celebrated, especially on those first tentative adventures. Travelling with a baby or little one is so, so different to travelling on your own or as a couple or with friends. It can seem so daunting, so each little click of ‘book’ and each step in a new country feels like such a big achievement and so special.
When I was pregnant so many people told me I’d never travel again. They laughed in my face when I said I wanted to take him on a flight. The amount of times that stupid meme that says something like ‘Everyone be having babies and I be like when’s my next trip’ popped up on my newsfeed was ridiculous.
It made me feel sad, but it also made me even more determined to continue to do what I love and with the person that I love the most.
Nova’s first overseas trip was when he was just two-months old. I know that there are many babies who are much younger on their first getaway. Travelling with a baby is totally possible and family travel can be just as much fun as travelling on your own. Yes, it’s different, but it’s still amazing. Nova played on a glacier in Canada when he was just six-months old. If that doesn’t count as exciting I don’t know what does!
So if you’re a travel-lover and are currently pregnant, fear not; your life of travel isn’t over. Do you know someone who’s expecting or is about to venture into the exciting world of family travel? A little set of Mini-Explorer Milestone Cards could be just the little vote of confidence or added bubble of excitement that they need.
