What’s Your Holiday Style? (And Win a Holiday to Croatia!)

What’s the most important thing on your holiday wish list? Mine is shiny new experiences. Well, new anything; destinations, restaurants, activities. Chances are if it’s a first, I’ll want to do or see it.

I’ve never really been someone to go back to the same place twice, but on the rare occasions I do, it’s to experience it in a new way. I’ve been to Paris a few times, but all as completely different breaks. There was the school trip, the Disneyland Paris weekend and of course, the romantic getaway.

Given the chance though I’ll always pick a new destination. There’s so much of the world to see and I just can’t bear the thought of missing out on somewhere. Even if everyone else has been, I’d rather visit for myself and make my own mind up. I’m not sure if that’s because of my stubborn side or adventurous spirit, but it’s the way I’ve always been.

Discovering Croatia

I’ve teamed up with the Croatian National Tourist Board to help discover more about my holiday style. They’ve been doing a lot of research about what gets us travellers excited and have used it to create a fun quiz. It turns out that I’m what they call the ‘Family Organiser’, which sounds pretty spot on, especially since having Nova.

I prefer to travel with Jay and Nova, so that we can experience new things together. I love sharing my passion for travel with them and I’m nearly always the planner. I usually try to include a little bit of everything; energetic stuff balanced with a bit of R&R, and geeky stuff levelled out with childish fun. It makes for a busy holiday, but one that we reminisce about afterwards.

Supposedly my ideal Croatian holiday destinations are Poreč and Zadar. I’ve never been to Croatia, but after reading about these two places I’m convinced I’d love them.

I’m told that Poreč has beautiful beaches, clean and clear water and family friendly outdoor activities, such as cycling, sailing, and fishing. Zadar, a city on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, is known for Roman and Venetian ruins. This eclectic mix sounds perfect for my mini-explorer and I.

Win a Holiday to Croatia

So, back to my first question; what makes the top of your list when you’re planning a getaway? Why not take the Croatian National Tourist Board’s quiz to help you work it out and best of all, by taking the quiz you stand the chance of bagging yourself a trip to Croatia. Not bad, eh?!

The Prize

One lucky winner and a friend will enjoy two days in Zagreb, one day in Plitvice, two nights in Zadar and two days in Split. It’s a great opportunity to see what Croatia is all about. For someone who likes to make the most of everything and see as much as possible, it definitely sounds like an amazing trip (especially as it ticks the new box!).

Take the quiz and enter here. The competition is only open to UK residents and closes on 21 December 2016.

Have fun discovering!
