Fancy jetting away to Mallorca? Let me take you there with my latest vlog!
Last week I was lucky enough to do that with not just my own family, but with my sister and her family, as well as my sister-in-law and hers. Travelopo kindly sent me to stay at a four-bedroom villa called Villa Can Mollero. We had such a great time so I thought I’d share a villa tour (beats my usual room tours, eh?!) with a vlog and some pics. Everyone loves a good nosy tour!
Travelopo is Europe’s leading holiday rentals agency with a huge roster of amazing villas and properties in Europe. Mollero is in the northern part of the Spanish island, Mallorca, which is where the business actually started way back in 2006.
Specifically, we stayed in an area called Pollenca (also known as Pollensa) which is perfect; the bay is a short 10/15 minute drive away, there’s an old part of the town to explore and you have lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets on your doorstep too.
Despite this, Mollero feels secluded. It isn’t looked on by other properties and offers sweeping views of the countryside. Oh and did I mention that the airport is only a 30/40 minute drive away? A great set-up if you ask me.
Anyone else remember the MTV show, Cribs?! I’m not sure if I’m showing my age, but I kinda felt like I was on set during my stay at Mollero. It’s the perfect place for a big house party, which is kind of ironic considering I stayed there with two other families!
Downstairs you’ll find a huge living room with a snug area created by a corner sofa, cosy fireplace and TV. There’s also another hangout room/drawing room/snug – whatever you want to call it. Oh and of course there’s also a dining area with a big table and naturally, another sofa.
It’s all open plan, so airy and spacious, but the way it’s been set up creates a homely, welcoming feel. The little ones soon made themselves at home anyway!
And this kitty was desperate to call this place home too, meowing for attention most evenings…
The ground floor also incorporates a really big double bedroom that’s tucked at one end of the property. Jay, Nova and I stayed in that one, but it was that big the others probably could have slept in there too! It has an en suite, including a little outdated, but lovely all the same corner bath with shower.
At the opposite end of the property is a generous kitchen, complete with another eating area and everything you need to cook up a feast. We only ate out once, thanks to Jay and Zara’s cooking skills. We ate everything from homemade pancakes and fresh fruit platters, to pastas and pizzas. Lidl is a short drive away so we stocked up on everything we needed (and a few extras for allll the snacking and Snapchatting).
Tip: You don’t get a welcome pack or supplies provided, so make sure you at least grab some water before you arrive.
In true Cribs style the villa also has an outside kitchen with a BBQ, sink and bread oven. We made homemade pizzas, though I will admit that the novelty of the bread oven wore off once we realised it would take longer than ten minutes to cook them. There’s no room for stomach rumbles when you’re on holiday!
Our fave part of the villa was definitely the outside. There’s an outside pool, more eating areas, a ping pong table and huge, beautiful gardens. It’s not surprising that we spent all of our time out there. The crazy ones even managed to brave the freezing pool water, though it did take the guys a good few hours to muster up the courage!
Upstairs, Mollero has three more bedrooms (two twins and another double) as well as big bathroom with a double sink. Two of the bedrooms lead out onto a huge terrace that looks onto the pool, so it’s perfect if your group wants to break away for a bit.
We saw some great sunsets during our stay.
The pics and the vlog speak for themselves. We had a great time, lucking out with super sunny days at the start of the week. I’ll share a separate post on what we got up to and a bit more about the littles, oh and some big news that happened during that week!
In the meantime, if you want to find out more about Mollero and the other Travelopo properites you can do here. If you have any questions though feel free to leave a comment.
Big thanks to Travelopo for hosting my stay!
